We are seeking married couples to become Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. As a Houseparent, you will live on campus and provide guidance and support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Job Summary

This is a unique career opportunity for couples who are passionate about education and youth development. You will work closely with our staff to create a family-like atmosphere for your assigned group of 8-12 students.

About the Role

As a Houseparent, you will be responsible for:

• Providing daily guidance and support to your students
• Creating a safe and nurturing environment in your home
• Developing relationships with your students and their families
• Collaborating with our staff to meet the educational and personal needs of your students

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• Be a married couple who have been legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

What We Offer

• Salary of $43,825 per person (a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple)
