Houseparents, Full-Time

Couples with a passion for supporting disadvantaged youth can embark on a fulfilling career as Houseparents at Milton Hershey School. This role involves providing guidance, nurturing, and daily care to 8-12 students in a family-like environment within on-campus homes.

Milton Hershey School offers an exceptional education program, covering pre-K through 12th grade, with all costs covered for students. The school's resources ensure that both students and staff have everything they need to thrive.

Flex houseparents are married couples who reside in student homes, creating a consistent family-like structure for the students under their care. They handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more.

Qualifications and Requirements

· Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings

· Couples must be legally married for at least two years

· Both spouses must be 27 years old or older

· Limitations on pets and smoking on campus

· Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans

· Couples must be comfortable leading daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services

· High school diploma or GED required

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

· Demonstrated high integrity, as staff serve as role models for students

· Both spouses must complete an individual employment application
