What are the responsibilities and job description for the Houseparents Needed for Student Care position at Milton Hershey School?
We're seeking a caring and dedicated couple to join our team as Youth Development Specialists at Milton Hershey School. As flex houseparents, they will reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and supporting a group of approximately 8-12 students.
The successful candidates will be responsible for creating a consistent family-like structure for students, handling tasks such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. They must be able to demonstrate a high degree of integrity, lead students in daily devotions, and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
We're looking for couples with experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They must be able to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus and adhere to certain pet restrictions. Valid driver's licenses and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required.

The work schedule includes nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. Three-week paid summer vacation is also provided.
