Job Description
As a houseparent team, your primary responsibility will be to provide a consistent family-like structure for students. You will handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, and more. Flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
You will work closely with other houseparents and school staff to ensure the well-being and success of students. Your guidance and support will help students develop important life skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older and have been legally married for at least two years.
You must also have a valid driver's license and be able to become certified to drive student home vans. High school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
