Milton Hershey School is seeking a married couple to join its team as flex houseparents. As a flex houseparent couple, you will be responsible for providing a nurturing family-like environment for your assigned group of 8-12 students, guiding them in their daily lives, and helping them develop essential life skills.
You will be part of a close-knit team that provides support and guidance to students, helping them to achieve their full potential. The ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively as a team, and demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young people.
About the Role:
- Responsible for creating a warm and welcoming home atmosphere for students
- Guide students in their daily lives and help them develop essential life skills
- Engage in various activities with students, such as team-building exercises and community service projects
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being and success of students
Requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses should be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
