What are the responsibilities and job description for the Married Couple Houseparents position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School provides an exceptional career-focused education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds, and we are seeking married couples to become Houseparent Couples, playing a vital role in shaping the lives of our students.
As Houseparent Couples, you and your spouse will reside on-campus, creating a nurturing environment for approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. You will also have the chance to develop a strong bond with your assigned group of students, providing guidance and support during their time at Milton Hershey School.
The ideal candidate couple should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must be at least 27 years old, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. A smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy applies, along with limitations on pets. Valid driver's licenses and certification to drive student home vans are required.
