What are the responsibilities and job description for the Married Couple Houseparents position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated married couple to join our team as Family Support Specialists. In this role, you will provide a supportive family-like structure for up to 12 students and work closely with your spouse to ensure the well-being of the students in your care.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will be responsible for daily responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and budgeting. You will also have the opportunity to participate in community service activities and develop meaningful relationships with the students in your care.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older. No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
As a Family Support Specialist, you will be expected to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. No alcohol is permitted while on duty. Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans. Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
