What are the responsibilities and job description for the Married Couple Youth Advocates position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our students. We are seeking married couples who are passionate about working with youth and making a positive impact in their lives.
As a Residential Youth Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to work with students from diverse backgrounds and create a family-like environment in the student home. You will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students, developing and implementing strategies to promote academic and personal growth among students.
The ideal candidate will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years. Both spouses should be age 27 or older. No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Key Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couple must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited)
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students
