Join us as a Married Houseparent Partner at Milton Hershey School, where you and your spouse will embark on a unique career journey together. Our school provides a nurturing environment for disadvantaged students, and we are seeking couples who can provide a family-like setting for them.
As a houseparent, you will reside in one of our on-campus student homes with your spouse, guiding and supporting a group of approximately 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include managing the household, overseeing daily activities, and ensuring the students' physical and emotional well-being.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a salary of $43,825 per person, totaling approximately $150,000 per couple, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. In addition, we provide relocation assistance, paid training, and a structured work schedule with significant time off.
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must have a high school diploma or GED, and you should be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
