Milton Hershey School is hiring a married couple to serve as houseparents, providing a supportive family environment for students in a residence on campus. The houseparent role involves guiding the educational journey and personal development of youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The ideal candidate has experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
As houseparents, the couple will provide daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. They will also manage household duties, handle responsibilities such as driving and administering medication, and maintain a smoke-free and weapon-free campus.
