The Flex Houseparent Role
As a flex houseparent, you will be part of a team of married couples who reside on campus and guide a group of students in a family-like environment. This role requires flexibility, patience, and understanding, as you will be working with students who come from diverse backgrounds and may face unique challenges. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a nurturing and supportive environment, while helping students develop essential life skills and values.
Working Conditions
You will be required to work nine days on followed by three days off, with a schedule that includes a period of personal time while students are at school. You will also have access to comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as health savings and flexible spending accounts.

Qualifications and Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you and your spouse must meet the following qualifications and requirements:
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably in under-served settings
- Legally married couple, both 27 years of age or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy
- Limitations on pets apply; only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and Sunday chapel services
