As a House Parent, your responsibilities will include overseeing daily activities, personal development, and ensuring the well-being of students. You will also be responsible for driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services and lead students in daily devotions.
The Milton Hershey School offers a range of benefits, including a salary of $43,825 per person, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, and paid training. You will also have access to a three-week paid summer vacation and a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off. Additionally, you will receive free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more as part of your compensation package.
To be eligible for this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You and your spouse must have been legally married for at least two years, and both spouses must be age 27 or older. You must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. High school diploma or GED is required, and you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
