Responsibilities and Requirements
As a houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will be responsible for:
- Providing guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students
- Managing daily responsibilities, including transportation, meal planning, and household chores
- Working closely with your spouse to create a nurturing home environment
- Maintaining open communication with the school administration and other stakeholders
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be a married couple with at least two years of marriage experience
- Have a valid driver's license and be able to become certified to drive student home vans
- Be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs
