About Flex Houseparents
Flex houseparents are married couples who reside in on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to engage in community activities.
Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting. In return, they receive a comprehensive benefits package, including salary, housing, meals, and more.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, both spouses must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. They must also be age 27 or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application and undergo a thorough selection process.
