What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurturing Leaders for Youth Development position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to become Houseparents, providing a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds in a residential setting.
As Houseparents, you will manage daily responsibilities, help with academic guidance, and support students in their personal growth and development. This role includes a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of youth.
The ideal candidates will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students. They must also be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services (Note: Proselytizing is prohibited).
This is a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses. As a Houseparent, you will be part of a team that provides an exceptional education, housing, meals, and more to students in pre-K through 12th grade.
