As houseparents at Milton Hershey School, you will have the opportunity to foster growth and development in students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a houseparent couple, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment that encourages students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a houseparent couple will include providing daily support and guidance to students, handling household chores, and participating in community service activities. You will also be required to maintain accurate records, complete incident reports, and adhere to school policies and procedures. In addition, you will participate in weekly staff meetings, take students on outings, and engage in professional development opportunities.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person (total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple), comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings. You will also receive relocation assistance, paid training, and three weeks of paid summer vacation.
