Job Responsibilities
As houseparents, your primary responsibility will be to create a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for our students. This will involve managing student behavior, providing guidance and support, and engaging in daily activities with our students. You will also be responsible for leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Additionally, you will participate in regular meetings with other houseparents and school staff to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, making a total compensation package of approx. $150,000 per couple. This includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. Comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability options, and retirement savings are also provided. Relocation assistance and paid training are included in the package.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for this position, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus policy and limit pets to fish and one dog of approved breeds. A valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans are also required. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application.
