Provide a Nurturing Environment
As a house parent at Milton Hershey School, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our students. You will live in one of our on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
Manage Daily Tasks
Responsibilities will include managing daily tasks such as transportation, medication administration, and budgeting. You will also be responsible for reporting, communicating with teachers and other staff members, and handling emergencies as needed.
Lead Daily Devotions
You will lead daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. This is a unique opportunity to share your faith and values with our students while promoting spiritual growth and development.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be age 27 or older, and you must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions. You will also be responsible for lifting up to 50 lbs and demonstrating a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
