What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Mentors position at Milton Hershey School?
The Milton Hershey School is a private school that provides an exceptional education to students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a Couple in Education, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional and academic growth of our students.
As a member of our team, you will work closely with your spouse to provide nurturing support to a group of 8-12 students, helping them to develop essential life skills and build positive relationships. Your responsibilities will include driving, budgeting, and facilitating daily routines, as well as participating in the students' educational and spiritual development.
We offer a competitive salary of $43,825 per person, which includes free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more. In addition to our benefits, we also offer relocation assistance and paid training. Our schedule allows for nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. We also offer a three-week paid summer vacation.
To be successful in this role, you and your spouse should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You should both be age 27 or older, and no more than three dependent children may reside in the student home. You must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
