Support Students' Education and Wellbeing:
Milton Hershey School is seeking a residential youth care professional to join our team. As a member of our community, you will reside in an on-campus student home with your spouse, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Your role will involve providing a consistent family-like structure for students, handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc., and covering different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.
About the Role:
* Guide and nurture students, providing a supportive environment that promotes their physical, emotional, and social well-being
* Develop and maintain relationships with students, understanding their individual needs and concerns
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless student care and support
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements:
* Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
* Age 27 or older, with both spouses meeting this requirement
* No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
* Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
* Comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
* High school diploma or GED required
