Responsibilities and Qualifications
As a flex houseparent, you will live on-campus with your partner and provide a family-like environment for 8-12 students. Your duties will include managing daily tasks such as medication administration, transportation, and budgeting. You will also lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. Proselytizing is prohibited. To be successful in this role, you must have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses should be legally married for at least two years, age 27 or older, and comfortable leading students in daily devotions. Couples must also be able to lift up to 50 lbs. High school diploma or GED is required. You must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all staff are role models for students.
Schedule and Benefits
You will enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with personal time while students are at school. A three-week paid summer vacation is also included. You will be part of a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with limitations on pets. Only fish and one dog of approved breeds are permitted. Valid driver's licenses and certification to drive student home vans are necessary.
