What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Youth Mentors position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents at Milton Hershey School. As flex houseparents, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students in a family-like environment.
Responsibilities
- Providing guidance and support to students
- Driving students to various activities
- Administering medication to students
- Managing budgets for student homes
Couples will enjoy a schedule of nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school. The ideal candidate couple will have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings.
Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- High school diploma or GED required
