Job Overview
As a House Parent at Milton Hershey School, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with your spouse to provide guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students. You will create a nurturing family-like environment within our on-campus student homes, managing household responsibilities and ensuring the well-being of all students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and guidance to students in a group setting
- Manage household responsibilities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance
- Administer medication and perform other duties as needed
- Develop and implement strategies to promote student success and well-being
Qualifications
- Experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Couples must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
