Milton Hershey School is seeking a married couple to become flex houseparents, providing a supportive family environment for our students and guiding them in their personal growth. As a Residential Youth Caregiver, you will be responsible for managing daily home duties such as transportation, medication administration, and budgeting.
Responsibilities
As a flex houseparent, you will be responsible for:
- Fostering a supportive family environment
- Handling responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting
- Participating in daily devotions and taking students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legal marriage for at least two years
- Age 27 or older
- Three dependent children or less residing in the student home
- Abiding by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. No alcohol is permitted while on duty
- Limitations on pets. Only fish and one dog of approved breeds is permitted
- Valid driver's license; ability to become certified to drive student home vans
