Youth Caregiver Role

At Milton Hershey School, we are seeking a Residential Youth Caregiver couple to join our team. As a flex houseparent, you will reside in an on-campus student home and provide guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students.

About the Role

This is a unique career path that requires consideration and commitment from both spouses. As a married couple, you will be responsible for providing a family-like environment for the students, handling daily responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, and budgeting.

You will also be expected to lead students in daily devotions and take them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services. We are looking for couples who have prior experience working with youth, preferably from under-served settings.

You will receive a salary of $43,825 per person, with a total compensation package of approximately $150,000 per couple, including free housing, meals while on duty, utilities, and more.

In addition to the salary and benefits, you will also receive paid training and a three-week paid summer vacation. Our schedule is designed to give you nine days on followed by three days off, with a period of personal time while students are at school.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
• This is a two-person job for couples who have been legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses should be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
• Able to abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
• Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions

Salary : $43,825
