Job Description
As a Flex Houseparent at Milton Hershey School, you will reside in an on-campus student home and provide guidance and support to a group of 8-12 students. Your responsibilities will include administering medication, maintaining a family-like atmosphere, and driving students when necessary. You will also have the opportunity to develop a consistent family-like structure for your assigned students, handling responsibilities such as budgeting, reporting, and more.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. You and your spouse must have been legally married for at least two years, and both spouses should be at least 27 years old. You may not have more than three dependent children residing in the student home, and you must abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus. Valid driver's licenses are required, and you must be able to become certified to drive student home vans.
