Role Overview
The Transitional Living Assistant will work closely with high school seniors, helping them develop essential life skills necessary for post-graduation success. This role requires strong interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to mentor and guide students.
Key Responsibilities
The Transitional Living Assistant will be responsible for:
- Mentoring students in developing life skills such as goal setting, planning, time management, personal finance, and interpersonal skills.
- Creating and supervising recreational activities that promote student engagement and development.
- Collaborating with fellow staff members to continually evaluate and enhance the program.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- A valid driver's license in good standing and the ability to become certified to drive a 9-passenger van.
- Experience working in youth residential settings is a plus.
- Experience mentoring, teaching, or advising diverse youth from under-served settings is desired.
- Demonstrated success in developing and delivering life skills training is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to effectively manage conflict and inspire others.
- A high degree of organizational skills and flexibility.
- Computer skills including Microsoft and Google applications, internet, and social media.
