What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Professionals position at Milton Hershey School?
Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Youth Development Specialists in our student homes. As a flex houseparent, you will provide a family-like environment and guidance to 8-12 students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Offer a supportive and stable living environment
- Administer medication and supervise daily activities
- Participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services and lead daily devotions
Requirements
- Experience working with youth, preferably in under-served settings
- Be legally married for at least two years
- Age 27 or older
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
Candidates should demonstrate a high degree of integrity and be comfortable leading students in daily devotions. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
