What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Development Team Lead position at Milton Hershey School?
Career Opportunity Overview
Milton Hershey School is a unique educational institution that provides a career-focused education to students in pre-K through 12th grade from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our school has been fully endowed since its founding in 1909, allowing us to provide our students and staff with everything they need to succeed.
As a Youth Development Specialist at Milton Hershey School, you will work as a flex houseparent, guiding and supporting groups of students in a family-like environment. This role requires couples who are married for at least two years, with a valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
Our team offers a supportive and collaborative work environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our students. We provide a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and a three-week paid summer vacation.
To be eligible for this role, you should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. Both spouses must complete an individual employment application, and you must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
