What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth Support Specialists position at Milton Hershey School?
We are seeking married couples to become flex houseparents, providing a nurturing family-like environment for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As a flex houseparent, you will reside in an on-campus student home, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students.
This is a full-time role that requires shared responsibilities around student care, driving, and budgeting. We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and relocation assistance.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings
- Legally married couple for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Couples must be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and take students to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity
