Medical Scribe (recent graduates/gap year preferred)

We are a private Ophthalmology and Optometry practice located at 7421 N Milwaukee Ave Niles, IL 60714, and looking to add to our team.

Job Description:

• Documenting in the medical record the doctor’s findings during the eye exam
• Transcribes the impression and plan, diagnostic test results, prescriptions and orders
• Monitors patient flow, ensuring the physician exam rooms are always, stocked, roomed and ready
• Assisting with setting up minor procedures, and instilling eye drops
• Correctly summarizing and documenting the physicians work-up, educating patients of their condition and treatment plan, and summarizing chief complaints, assessments, and recommendations for treatment
• Performing diagnostic and technical testing, peripheral visual field tests and scans of the retina and optic nerve.
• Monday-Friday availability, occasional 4-hour shift (clinic matches 4-hours, equaling 8-hours as a bonus/thank you for working a weekend) on Saturday
• Scheduling referral out and follow up appointments as needed
