Coordinator – Rehabilitation

Overview

As part of Medical Department this role will provide rehabilitative treatment and services across the Brewer’s minor/major league system for both operative and non-operative patients located in Phoenix, Arizona. These services include, but are not limited to, therapeutic exercise prescription, manual therapy, patient education, development and management of player throwing programs, and management of return to play progressions. The Coordinator - Rehab will oversee the rehabilitation team as well as manage clinical affiliation agreements with colleges/universities that provide physical therapy clinical interns to the Milwaukee Brewers

 

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement programs related to and including all aspects of rehabilitation of players and staff within the Club
  • Develop and oversee treatment/rehab protocols along with the team physician and outside physicians, as well as integrating with the rehab coach and the medical and player development staff to return the player to competition
  • Collaborate with Coordinator – Minor League Medical and MLB Head Athletic Trainer on updating the ‘Return To Play’ tracker for injured players within the Brewers system. 

 

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of professional baseball experience in the medical or a related field, Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and/or Master’s degree (M.A.), Athletic Training, and have national certification from the National Athletic Trainers Association and eligible for State of Arizona licensure. Doctorate degree (DPT) from four-year College or university of Physical Therapy highly recommended as well as the ability to live in Phoenix Arizona. Candidates with the ability to speak Spanish are preferred.
