Summary:
Join our team as a Business Strategy & Analytics Intern to support our Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence teams. In this role, you will have the chance to work on a range of projects, including creating documentation for our data warehouse, building SQL queries, developing Power BI reports, and assisting with data science initiatives. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the dynamic field of sports analytics and make a tangible impact on our organization's success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with data collection, data cleaning, and data validation tasks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our data warehouse.
- Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team by assisting with data exploration, model development and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards that track various KPIs and other performance metrics for the organization.
- Generate SQL queries to extract relevant information from our data warehouse.
- Support data-driven decision-making through discovering trends in the data and conducting statistical analyses.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university and must be an upcoming junior or senior as of Summer 2025
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Office, especially Excel
- Solid Understanding of R, Power BI, Python and/or SQL preferred
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, as well as an ability to apply higher-level judgment and critical thinking
- Compelling presence and ability to manage relationships with key constituents as appropriate
- Highly organized, upbeat, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize
- Has worked and succeeded in an environment of measurable metrics and results
- High energy, forward-thinking and collaborative individual who thrives in a multifaceted setting
