Clerical Assistant (Child Support)
Hourly Pay Rate: $15.75 to $23.63
Closing Date: April 03, 2025, or upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received.
Job Summary: The position performs varied clerical tasks including maintaining the KIDS database, reports, data entry, processing incoming/outgoing mail, generating letters to case participants, and provide necessary clerical support to ensure compliance with Federal regulations, State laws and mandates.
Job Responsibilities:
Run reports from various databases. Analyze and enter data from reports into KIDS database. Generate standard documents based on report information
Process incoming and outgoing mail for the department. Assemble information packets for mailing and distribution to participants. Mail, email, and fax various documents to employers, attorneys, participants, and other agencies. Sort and distribute mail to Child Support Specialists. Arrange legal documents for service of process
Query various databases including the Child Support Partner Resource site and Onbase. Update the KIDS data system with various data elements
Scan and index documents for entry into electronic record filing system (OnBase); electronically file items into court database (WiKIDS).
Prepare documents and financial records for case processing to the Interstate Unit for enforcement. Maintain confidentiality of records, documents, and correspondence. Create and enter data into Excel spreadsheets from various reports.
Perform any and all other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
At least one-year of full-time clerical support experience required
Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Required Skills and Abilities:
Team player with the ability to work harmoniously and effectively with both co-workers and external contacts. Must possess oral and written communication skills. Basic knowledge of computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets. Frequent contact with employees across other departments and external entities to gather factual information of a confidential manner. The ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, routine reports, forms and correspondences. The ability to Lift/Carry/Push/Pull up to 05lbs as needed.
