Hourly Pay Rate: $14.87 - $22.28

Job Summary: Maintain the KIDS/wiKIDS database and assist with the processing of accurate legal documents. Provide necessary clerical support under the guidance of the lead worker to ensure compliance with Federal Regulations, State laws and mandates Coordinate with court calendars. This position allows the department to achieve performance measures set by the State of Wisconsin and to be able to provide timely and efficient service to the families in Milwaukee County.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create standardized legal documents and letters. Verify accuracy of keyboarded copy against original documentation
Upload legal documents to the appropriate attorney queue in the e-file system.
Scan or upload case documents to OnBase, the internal electronic case file system
Download legal documents from e-filing, print and assemble pleadings for each party. Deliver documents to SOP unit for processing
Accurately enter and/or update KIDS and other databases with various information.
Perform searches of other databases
Process incoming and outgoing mail.
Act as a receptionist and refer visitors to the appropriate area or office for further assistance. Answer telephone inquiries
Other duties as may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Possession of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Current resident of the State of Wisconsin
At least one (1) year of full-time office clerical experience
Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of modern office methods, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Using various office machines, customer service with contact skills over the telephone and in person. Basic data entry skills with a high rate of accuracy, written and oral communication skills, organizational skills and the ability to follow oral/written instructions. Maintain records, files, and store items according to file codes or classifications. Perform basic math computations and work effectively and harmoniously with others.
