Workforce Training and Development Specialist

Hourly Pay Range: $26.24 – $39.60
Hybrid role after six (6) months of employment

Job Summary: We are seeking two Workforce Training and Development Specialists that will have the responsibility to develop, design, deliver, and facilitate various types of training (e.g., new employee orientation, onboarding, regulatory, certification, skill based, mindset and practice, and internships) for the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) workforce, which includes DHHS employees, contracted employees, and community-based providers.
Essential Responsibilities:
Design training materials to address organizational learning needs. Prepare and distribute training aids, handouts, and evaluation forms to assess quality and participant reaction. Modify existing or propose new training initiatives as needed.
Maintain a working knowledge of new techniques, developments, and best practices in the delivery of training content via various platforms (in-person, blended, online, and virtual), and work closely with subject matter experts on the creation and maintenance of content.
Professionally deliver training topics and facilitate group interaction to maximize learning experiences.
Assist in the general administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) as needed (importing Department of Health and Human Services created content and identifying the correct assignments of the content).
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current resident of the state of Wisconsin.
Bachelor’s degree OR a high school diploma/GED with four (4) years of equivalent experience in Human Services, Government, Healthcare, or a closely related field.
At least one (1) year of professional work experience.
Intermediate knowledge of all related computer and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g. Outlook 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
Intermediate knowledge of audiovisual equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services, Government, Healthcare, or related field.
Professional experience working in government or with the public.
Basic knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
