Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for 2 Public Safety Officers to work a full time, rotating, 40-hour work week. In this role you will primarily be on 1st shift, and we estimate between 10-20%, or 3-5 days of the month, will be spent covering either 2nd or 3rd shift. The Museum requires the Security Department to be manned on a 24 hour, 365 days per year basis.
In this role you will:
- Safeguard museum collections and ensure the well-being of museum employees and visitors
- Use all 5 senses to make observations of irregularities and document them in written reports
- Patrol, on foot, the over 400,000 square foot building
- Monitor 200 cameras in the dispatch office and serve as a resource for multiple departments via radio communication

Qualifications that are preferred, but not required:
- 1 year previous security experience
- Prior DAAT training or similar de-escalation and self-defense training
- CPR, AED, and/or First Aid certification
- Prior experience with Access Control systems, MPM uses C-Cure
