Milwaukie Lumber is a family owned and operated provider of building materials to new home construction in the greater Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. We are a high energy, relationship based Company fulfilling the needs of our employees, customers and vendors by providing lumber, plywood, siding and building material promptly to a variety of job sites with our fleet of Company owned and operated trucks and forklifts. We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to perform the following duties and responsibilities with energy and passion.

- Process A/R batches.
- Each A/R batch must be for one store.
- Each A/R batch must post off invoices, finance charges, unapplieds, etc for only the store that the batch is being posted for.
- Be sure to post off invoices, finance charges, etc. to a General Ledger account in the store you are posting the A/R batch to.
- This includes the following type of activity: a Writing off Finance Charges. b Writing off Invoices to Bad Debt. c Posting off invoices - Refund by Check account to G/L Account - Cash Over / Short.
- Match invoice total amount to receiver total amount and reconcile any differences.
- Get orders from dispatch audit them for accuracy against invoices.
- Count the cash tills and make bank deposits.
- Separate all cash and charge invoices. Send charge invoices to Vancouver.
- Process invoices (stamp, code and cross reference with Special Orders).
- Enter invoices for payments to vendors.
- Research invoices with special orders that have not been billed out to the customer.
- File vendor payments into file drawer in alpha / date order.
- Answer phones.
