Restorative Aid / C.N.A - Nursing Home FT / Days

Job Summary :
Under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse and Therapist, provides range of motion, restorative dining, strengthening, ambulation, transfers, ADL’s to residents in long term care / skilled nursing.
Offers hydration during and following treatment, ensuring proper diet is followed with consistency of liquid as per order.
Supervises restorative dining area, ensuring residents are utilizing appropriate adaptive dining equipment and techniques as prescribed by therapy staff.
Actively participates in facility Restorative Dining Program as indicated utilizing appropriate adaptive dinging utensils and techniques as instruct ted by therapy staff.
Observes resident wheelchairs for appropriate fit, condition or need of repair and reports to OT any repairs that need to be completed.
No experience necessary.
Certification from an accredited nursing assistant program.
Qualifications :
High School Graduate or equivalent. Completion of a C.N.A. Program.
One year experience as a C.N.A. or Nurse Aide preferred.
NM Nurse Aide Certification; Current BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain current BLS Certification.
