DESIGNER
Mimi & Hill Design Studio Shop, an interior design firm and shop based in westfield, NJ, is looking for a talented and driven team member to join the company. We are seeking a full time, junior designer who can work closely with the principle designers and part of an awesome team to keep our rapidly-growing business running smoothly by designing our projects. An ideal team member thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment with strong attention to detail. Your innate style should be incredible and that should come across to the designers. We’re looking for someone who is smart, hard-working, with great common sense and exceptional taste. Wow us with your incredible designs!

QUALIFICATIONS
Includes, but not limited to:

— Proficiency in AutoCAD, experience with rendering software a plus
— Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
— Responsible, flexible and detail-oriented with professional demeanor & sound judgement
— Friendly & engaging personality with strong client service skills
— College design degree required

__JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes, but not limited to:
— Creation of floor plans & elevations using AutoCAD or other design platform
— Take on-site measurements for purpose of crafting floor plans & elevations
— Creation of client/project binders to maintain organization of project
— Electronic project filing in Dropbox and Asana
— Correspond with potential clients, vendors & workrooms, as needed
— Sourcing vendors, samples and materials
— Maintain & organize design studio, including files and sample library
— Position is an office position but occasionally physical work (such as moving small furniture, carrying accessories, etc.) will be required
This position is a fabulous opportunity to work directly alongside the Principal Designer and offers invaluable exposure to the many facets of the interior design business, including residential interiors, product design, publishing, e-commerce and social media. You will be doing the fun: design! You get to pass off this design to our incredible team who will make it happen.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
