Services provided include Psych Express Care (2-3 hour intervention), Psych Crisis Care, and Psych Progressions (Outpatient Therapist Services). MIND 24-7 not only enhances the quality of patient care, but reduces pressure on the mental health system, reducing costly emergency room visits, in-patient treatment, and readmissions for crisis care. In the first year, with now over 450 team members, the company has opened three facilities in the Greater Phoenix area and has served over 10,000 individuals in need of care. Immediate rapid expansion into additional states is planned for the coming year.
The Charge Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and nursing care of individuals served. The Charge Nurse position also oversees unit staff in clinical matters. The Charge Nurse will deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The Charge Nurse will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The Charge Nurse is a member of the shift leadership team that manages the units and patients.

Essential Job Functions
- In collaboration with the PCC Lead, Navigator Lead and Provider manages the patient needs for the units
- Supervises the nursing services for designated shift including patient assignments and safety in the facility.
- Assists leadership with assuring that the delivery of nursing care meets licensing regulations and accreditation standards.
- Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring.
- Assess patients and documents pertinent information, completing physical and mental health assessments.
- Performs medication administration as per facility protocol. Accurately record all medication as administered.
- Assesses, documents, and reports behavioral and medical changes
- Participates in patient treatment planning as part of the multi-disciplinary clinical team.
- Educates patients on diagnosis, treatment, and medications
- Uses verbal de-escalation and therapeutic interventions to de-escalate patients that are potentially dangerous
- Can describe and demonstrate thorough knowledge of seclusion and restraint standards and guidelines, including documentation of seclusion and restraint incidents, as required.
- Can describe and demonstrate thorough knowledge of SafeClinch standards and guidelines, as required.
- Records all care provided concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, as per the facility protocol
- Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered.
- Other duties as assigned
- Depending on setting, may also float among various clinical services within assigned market, where qualified and competent
- Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Nurse Manager.
- Supervisory Functions: Yes. Supervisory duties include Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Coordinators.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Nursing program with Registered Professional Nurse licensure by the state Board of Nursing.
- Unrestricted license as Registered Professional Nurse through the state Board of Nursing.
- At least 3 years of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, or ability to obtain upon hire
- Previous crisis care or emergency room experience
- Previous experience with state specific court ordered services
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
