Job Overview:
Mind and Mobility Home Care is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Care Coordinator. This role is responsible for managing the scheduling of caregivers for client visits, assisting with interviewing applicants, and ensuring continuity of care in the event of call-offs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in caregiving, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to scheduling changes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule caregivers to ensure all client visits are covered in a timely manner. Maintain an accurate and up-to-date schedule.
- Verify caregiver visits by ensuring they properly clock in and out for their shifts using the designated timekeeping system.
- Step in and provide care to clients when no caregiver replacement is available due to call-offs. Provide direct caregiving support as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with caregivers, clients, and management to address scheduling issues and ensure a seamless service experience.
- Ensure accurate records of caregiver schedules, timecards, and any client concerns or feedback. Report to management any issues or challenges.
- Address and resolve scheduling conflicts, caregiver shortages, and other challenges as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to client care.
- Assist in interviewing walk-in applicants or those scheduled for interviews. Help assess potential hires for caregiving roles.
Qualifications:
- Previous caregiving experience is required.
- Prior experience in the home care industry is strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle unexpected changes to the schedule.
- Experience with Axiscare software or related tools is a plus.
- Reliable, responsible, and compassionate demeanor.
