Mindful Care is seeking a dedicated Patient Experience Coordinator - Front Desk (PXC) to join our team at the West Hempstead office. The PXC will be the welcoming face of Mindful Care, responsible for executing all patient-facing tasks and inquiries with exceptional customer service. .
Our Patient Experience Coordinators:
- Conduct patient interactions to connect them with Mindful Care services.
- Guide patients through the intake process, establish their Patient Portal, and provide basic tech support to enhance their provider experience.
- Handle all incoming calls for all locations and return voicemails promptly.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes.
- Address scheduling and rescheduling requests via phone, email, and text.
- Perform same-day eligibility verification and assist in collecting balances, copayments, and no-show fees.
- Respond to provider requests for patient contact.
- Serve as office manager, overseeing office maintenance, staffing, and escorting patients to examination rooms.
- Triage inquiries for other departments and perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Your Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office, hospital, or clinic environment; mental health care experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency in verifying health insurance.
- Prior customer service experience, preferably in medical or mental health settings.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Demonstrates inclusivity, sensitivity, and experience with diverse populations, including various ethnic backgrounds, socioeconomic statuses, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM ET
- Location: 100% in-person at the Hoboken Office
