What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power BI Developer - Remote position at Mindlance?
Power BI is a critical component of the Dynamics 365 platform that is being used to support the Business Development team. We need a Power BI expert who can communicate and collaborate with both internal functional / business customers and technical development teams to ensure best practices are implemented on data models, dashboards, and reporting.
Skills :
- Demonstrated experience with building a variety of analytical products using Power BI
- Demonstrated experience with taking business requirements for analysis and translating those into actionable, technical designs for analytical products, and breaking those designs into discrete tasks
- Demonstrated ability to build and modify Power BI semantic models
- Demonstrated success building analytical products that are adopted into operations
- Demonstrated experience demoing analytical products to stakeholders
- Demonstrated understanding of data modelling best practices
- Demonstrated experience with analytics UIUX best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience with querying languages such as SQL and DAX
- Demonstrated experience communicating data modelling needs to developers and product owners
- Demonstrated ability to teach less experienced users how to use Power BI
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross functional teams across geographical locations
- Demonstrated experience using data analytics to drive improved decision making
- Experience working in a fast-paced, iterative / changing environment
- Experience identifying a business problem / process, solutioning, and managing it to closure
