Mindset Consulting is looking to hire a Senior Accountant as we continue to expand our Finance and Accounting team. This is a fast-paced role with the opportunity for professional growth. The Senior Accountant will provide support and assist with timely and accurate financial reporting including financial statements, variance analysis, financial modeling/forecasting and ad-hoc reports. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements, and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures. Duties may include, but are not limited to, month and quarter-end close support (preparing and reviewing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations), internal control design and support, internal and external audit support, and continually driving improvements in processes.
Preferred Skills
- A BS/BA degree, or equivalent experience, in one or a combination of the following: Finance, Accounting, or Analytics
- 3-6 years of related work experience in an accounting environment, with experience in general ledger, month end close
- Solid analytical and accounting experience, including knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Ability to work in a high-growth, fast-paced, and changing environment
- High attention to detail and level of accuracy
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times
- Experience working with multiple foreign currencies preferred
- Experience with Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, or other large automated accounting system is a plus
- Experience with SalesForce and Parallax is a plus
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

Responsibilities
- The Senior Accountant helps to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger accounts
- This role works independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment
- Prepare financial statements and management reports to include cost analysis, ratios, variance explanations and trends
- Analyze and explain fluctuations and trends in balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Perform account reconciliations and analyses, review general ledger accounts, and prepare journal entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
- Coordinate and participate in the monthly close process including preparing monthly journal entries (depreciation, payroll, prepaids, etc.), completing account reconciliations, and updating various monthly financial reports
- Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis, investigating issues and providing explanations
- Support month-end close process including timely completion of tasks and resolution of issues
- Complete monthly account reconciliations and resolve variances for assigned balance sheet accounts
- Complete reconciliations of expense accounts for reviewing financial results
- Analyze balance fluctuations on specific accounts and provide explanation for drivers of change
- Reconcile statutory financials of international subsidiaries to US GAAP financials
- Develop innovative approaches for continued improvement in efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
- Continue to develop knowledge of NetSuite and other applications
- Record payroll transactions and complete payroll submission
- Assist with preparing budgets and projections
