About the Role: As a Media Buyer, you will take your passion for media and turn it into impactful, results-driven campaigns. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Negotiates, purchases and monitors television and radio buys, both locally and nationally for assigned markets
- Negotiates, purchases and monitors print, OOH, direct vendor digital audio and direct vendor digital video buys
- Produces and executes optimum buys in terms of cost efficiencies and goal delivery, while following client guidelines
- Negotiates added value opportunities within client guidelines
- Reviews all media invoices and resolves any discrepancies
- Responsible for reporting buys performance in the form of a post-buy analysis
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all client needs are met
- Effectively problem-solves, generates innovative solutions
- Improve and maintain positive relations with media representatives
- Evaluate and recommend sponsorship opportunities if valuable to a client
- Stay updated on spot market conditions, price fluctuations, changes in viewing patterns, station changes
- Working on a range of client accounts at the same time, often juggling various projects and deadlines
- Assist on new business projects as needed
- Help mentor and train Associate Media Buyers
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3-5 years media buying experience; agency and national experience preferred
- Self-motivated, very detailed oriented and an independent thinker
- Positive attitude and team oriented
- Ability to think analytically based on business objectives and client needs
- High comfort level with numbers and constant reporting needs
- Communicate clearly and effectively to others, written and verbal
- Plans and organizes work; sets priorities and manages time well
- Has a sense of urgency to obtain results, meets deadlines
- Handles large volume of work efficiently, effectively and productively
- Knowledge of Mediaocean and Mircosoft Office
