Duties
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using OpenTable or similar systems, ensuring all preferences are noted.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including daily specials, and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper sanitation standards throughout the dining area.
- Manage cash handling efficiently, processing payments accurately and securely.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service areas to uphold high standards of hygiene.
- Assist in training new staff members on service protocols and menu items as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Familiarity with culinary terminology and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Experience with cash handling procedures is required for processing payments accurately.
