General Description:

Minerva Area Christian School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. The Elementary Teacher will play a crucial role in helping students learn skills, subjects, and attitudes that contribute to their holistic growth. This position involves providing overall leadership and instruction in the assigned grade-level(s) and/or subjects while maintaining a safe, nurturing classroom environment where students experience the love of Christ. This is a contracted, exempt position paid on a salaried basis.

Responsibilities:

Spiritual Leadership:

• Model a Christ-centered life and uphold Christian values.
• Share your Christian faith with students and colleagues.
• Foster spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study, and outreach.

Academic Leadership:

• Plan, execute, evaluate, and communicate all necessary programs to fulfill the school's vision and mission.
• Implement curriculum to achieve expected student outcomes.
• Develop creative, confident, and courageous learners.

Administrative Leadership:

• Provide overall leadership and instruction in assigned grade-level(s) and/or subjects.
• Supervise Teacher Aides.
• Maintain timely communication with administration and faculty.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Eligibility for or in possession of an Ohio Department of Education teacher certification or license.
• Willingness to undergo FBI and BCI background checks.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Maintain personal appearance consistent with school policy.
• Teach assigned grade-level(s) with a focus on expected student outcomes.
• Submit weekly lesson plans on time.
• Attend all assigned meetings and devotions punctually.
• Work cooperatively with administration and faculty.
• Represent the school positively to the community.
• Demonstrate spiritual leadership among peers, parents, and students.
• Fulfill any other assigned responsibilities.
