Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Process Technician to join our dynamic team on the PM shift. As a key member of our production team, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining our complex mechanical systems. Your expertise will drive process efficiency and innovation, contributing to our commitment to excellence and quality.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment and systems in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues and process malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Document and report equipment performance, maintenance activities, and any incidents or anomalies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance and operational activities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Train and support junior technicians and operators in mechanical processes and equipment handling.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work PM shift hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting maintenance activities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
