Position Overview:
We are seeking a Warehouse Associate for the Mini Melts Warehouse in Norwich, Connecticut.
Job Description:
The tasks and responsibilities of a Warehouse employee include but are not limited to the following:
- Pulling inventory to fill orders in onsite-built cardboard/styrofoam shipping containers.
- Stocking Walkin Freezers and Freezer Trailers with Daily Products.
- Handling Dry Ice Regularly.
- Moving large storage containers to and from packaging to the warehouse using an electric pallet jack multiple times per day.
- Daily inventory counts of products and weekly inventory counts of supplies.
- Assist in Loading & Unloading Trucks, Basic Shipping and Receiving. Filling out paperwork, to make sure deliveries are what they are supposed to be. That any shortages or damages are documented.
- Always working in pairs. When putting products away or pulling orders so that everything is verified. Inventory is very important.
- Assisting where needed, this could be in different departments.
Job Requirements:
- Working in -40 Temperatures up to 15 minutes at a time
- Ability to repeatedly lift 50 lbs
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate an electric pallet jack
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Pre-employment background screening and drug test
- Ability to work at least 40 hrs per week, which may include some overtime at times
- Basic Math Skills
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, company product codes and terminology.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.
